The Iranian movie "The Separation"(Jodaeiye Nader az Simin) won a Golden Globe for Best Foreign Film in January 2012, and is now nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Foreign Language film.(Photo: source)
Simin and Nader have been married for 14 years and have an 11-year old daughter. Simin wants to leave Iran and build a life with her family elsewhere in the world, but Nader insists they stay in Iran to take care of his father, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease. As Simin files a divorce, the story becomes complex.
